This simple and compact enclosure for the DROK battery meter comes with a front button: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071HW4QHL/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1. It's designed to keep tabs on the voltage of a Lacroix e-board, but can also be used for Onewheel XR's. The inner electronics can be calibrated to various voltages, up to 15 volts setup. To assemble the enclosure, disassemble the meter by removing four mounting screws. Take off the front plate and clear plastic piece. The rear pin connector must be removed to minimize the depth of the unit. Heat both sides of the solder joint where it connects to the PCB, and weaken the solder to remove. Then simply solder on wires to the two posts left. Run the wires along the back and out the side opening. Ideal wires are around 20 awg. And it's best if you can shrinkwrap or use some other protective covering on the wiring run. For the other end, solder on a barrel connector that is compatible with the Lacroix charge plug. They are somewhat standard. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07HFH7CDT/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 You only need the male side, since the Lacroix charge plug is female. To secure the lid, use short wood screws or sheet metal screws with a flat-top profile. Use or cut down longer ones to be around 3/8'. The key is just to not use a screw that's long enough to pierce through the other side. Good luck.
