Enclosure for a 17x22mm DC-DC converter (Updated). Intended to be used with a Mega 2560 as a regulator upgrade, which was requested by justojosegm. This is a box designed to hold this DC-DC converter: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/DC-DC-4-5V-28V-to-0-8V-20V-Step-Down-Module-Power-Supply-Good/32394108681.html The inexpensive 22x17x4mm DC-DC converter board has no mounting holes. I've been using this DC-DC converter as a replacement for the standard AMS1117-5.0 800mA regulator found on most Mega 2560 boards. This print is very delicate, so depending on how accurate your printer is, you may have to slow down the print speed. On my Anet A8, I used a print speed of 30mm/s for this print. This updated version requires no print support and less cleanup, again depending on how accurate your printer is. It was designed with a 0.1mm spacing between the base and cover. Because of this, the top may be loose if your printer is extremely accurate. You may need to sand the converter board edges square. You modify your hardware at your own risk. The easiest way to remove the regulator is to snip off all three pins, then heat up the regulator heat sink and remove the regulator. Clean up the board by removing the pins. I replaced the standard regulator with a 3-pin XH 2.54mm connector. The SMD version of this connector is much more expensive than the right-angle version, so I bought the right-angle version and bent the pins to make it a SMD. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/20sets-Lot-3-Pin-Right-Angle-Connector-Leads-Header-2-54mm-XH-3P-Kit-Housing-Pin/32557109555.html You can clearly see from the picture showing both boards how to wire the converter board. Make sure you adjust the converter board output voltage before attaching it to the Mega board. I added DC2DCBracketNoChamfer, which is used with http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2228747 MegaMountTallWConvMount. DC2DCBracket uses M3 flat head screws. DC2DCBracketNoChamfer uses M2.5 button head screws.
