Enclosure For 3D Printer's Electronics
thingiverse
This is an enclosure designed specifically for 3D printer electronics. With minimal effort and basic or intermediate 3D modeling skills, you can easily adapt it to meet your needs. The enclosure includes multiple pieces that are straightforward to print and assemble. The current version available is V2, but there are also some older files included that may still be useful. However, these files will no longer be updated. The enclosure includes several brackets: * A bracket for the Anet A8 motherboard * A bracket for the Raspberry Pi 3 - B and mosfet * A bracket for the OrangePi Lite and mosfet * A bracket for two mosfets Here are some helpful hints to keep in mind: * Test files are included so you can try out your settings and tolerances before making larger prints. These test files should be printed in the same positions and with the same settings as the actual pieces of the enclosure. * You will need 8 pieces called Pin, which should be inserted into holes to hold the front, bottom, back, and top pieces together. If these pins don't work well for you, they can be replaced with M3 screws and nuts. It is highly recommended that you use an angled micro USB jack to power your Raspberry Pi 3, as there isn't much room for a bulky jack. To assemble the brackets firmly to the enclosure, you will need: * 8 pieces called Pin * 3 x M3x15mm (or longer) screws * 3 x M3 nuts You may also want to use four magnet pieces to hold the doors closed. I have made recesses for four round magnets that are 8x1mm in size, and I plan to glue them with small amounts of super glue. To assemble the electronics, you will need cutting screws: * 2.5mm or 2.6mm x 10mm for the motherboard and mosfet * 2.3mm - 2.4mm x 10mm for the Raspberry Pi 3 The front_grid piece should be glued together with the Front_inner piece, and I plan to use small amounts of super glue for this. The enclosure has doors for: * 92x92mm fans with a diameter of 88mm * 80x80mm fans with a diameter of 76mm You can choose the ones you need. The dimensions of the enclosure are: length - 137mm, height - 156.7mm, and width - 154.8mm. If you decide to print this enclosure, I would be very grateful for any feedback you have.
