Enclosure and mount for reprap PICA printer controller board for Wilson II
thingiverse
I wanted a protective cover for my pica controller board, which is part of the Wilson II 3D printer. Since this printer will be used in a classroom setting, I needed to ensure that curious students wouldn't accidentally touch any potentially hazardous components. The enclosure requires supports for stability, but the mount does not. To secure the mount, I attached it to a 2020 extrusion, then held the Arduino Mega in place with zip ties. Next, I fastened the enclosure directly to the PICA board using M3 8mm hex screws and a matching hex nut. I routed the wires through a large circular hole. Special thanks go to mjrice for designing the original components and the Wilson II. Print Settings Printer Brand: MakerGear Printer: M2 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: .4mm Infill: 50%
