Enabling the Future. New combination of the unlimbited arm and the flexy hand
thingiverse
Hi everyone! I created this innovative recombination for a school project that required me to focus on a subject for at least 80 hours. After careful consideration, I chose to explore 3D-printed hand prosthetics, which led me to design this recombination based on two Enabling Community Foundation designs: the flexy hand and the unlimbited arm. To perfect my redesign, I conducted extensive research on 3D-printing and hand prosthetics. I also delved into how the Enabling Community Foundation leverages cutting-edge technology to tackle real-world problems, which truly inspired me. My goal is for the community to continue growing until all children with needs are supported. I believe that more people should be inspired by this community's work, just as I was. That's why I'm sharing my redesign with you! If you're curious about it, please don't hesitate to let me know what you think! Additionally, if you'd like to learn more about my project, research, or inspiration, feel free to ask. I'd be happy to share my 70-page report with you, even if it requires translation. --- Overview and Background Sparking Inspiration I'm excited to help others discover the Enabling Community Foundation's incredible work! My project may inspire you just as it inspired me. Here's what I did: 1) Uncovered the world of 3D-printing: its techniques, possibilities, and more. 2) Explored prosthetics: how they're made, techniques used, and so on. 3) Learned about the Enabling Community Foundation: their innovative approach to solving real-world problems. 4) Redesigned two prosthetic designs from the community, incorporating my newfound knowledge of 3D-printing and professional prosthetics. This project could be a fantastic way to introduce new techniques in a classroom setting. I've gathered all the research; just ask if you'd like access to it!
