The ancient En Gedi synagogue dates back to the 5th century CE and stands proudly on the western shore of the Dead Sea, nestled between Qumran to its north and Masada to its south. Unlike other synagogues that prominently feature zodiac depictions, the En Gedi synagogue takes a unique approach by listing the zodiac signs in an inscription, rather than relying on figurative images.
