EN-EL15 Battery cap
thingiverse
I designed a protective cap for the Nikon EN-EL15 battery about eight months ago, and this is an update. The cap has two sides to safeguard both the battery connections and make it simple to determine whether the battery is charged by placing the cap on either the flat or charged side. Update July 2018: I reworked the design in Fusion 360, making it fit more snugly. My main reason for upgrading was to place "Flat" and "Charged" labels on both sides of the case. So, I took this chance to upgrade it a bit during that process. Print Settings: Printer: Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 20% Notes: 0.2mm is fine, but the letters might be clearer if you use 0.1mm resolution. Manual supports in the middle of the underside will prevent sagging of the first layer of filament. However, keep them one millimeter away from the edges to ensure the battery fits easily.
