Emu
thingiverse
My father crafted similar toys from wooden balls when I was young, but nowadays we have 3D printers for a more contemporary version! This particular animal requires additional threads for completion; use breakable materials to ensure child safety. The print is simple due to the included support in the file. Don't forget to share your results if you print it out. Kindly opt for PLA and expect a 4-hour print time with these settings: layer height at 0.15mm, bottom and top layers at 0.6mm, shell thickness at 0.5mm, 25% infill, and printing speed between 75-100mm/s for the infill. All parts are hollow to create double walls for extra strength. The support doesn't touch the model, leaving a 0.2mm gap for easy removal after printing. Holes on the head, body, and feet allow attachment of threads or wires to connect the toy to its controller piece.
