EMT8 Cheap Metal Frame

This is the ultimate budget-friendly way to get a metal frame for your Anet A8 (or similar printer). Aluminum extrusions are extremely expensive in Canada, so I decided to create something else. For this build, you will need the following items priced in CAD dollars: 1x10' of 3/4" EMT tubing - $6 About 60 pieces #10x3/4 metal self-tapping screws - $8 About one-third of a spool of your preferred filament (I used PLA) - $16 This project was based on hdaniel3's idea of using PVC tubing for the frame, so some parts were highly inspired by his project. Pheneeny's AM8 was also a big source of inspiration, with some parts copied from his project. Before assembling everything, I predrilled every hole with a 1/8" drill bit. You will need to cut the tubing into these lengths: X: 3 pieces at 313mm each Y: 2 pieces at 364mm each Z: 2 pieces at 443mm each Z supports: 2 pieces at 200mm each For those in metric countries, you can scale the parts by 105% to fit 25mm OD tubing and 107% for 25.4mm OD. The frame was attached to a 1/2" plywood using EMT straps. Make sure to install the Power Supply and the Motherboard on their supports before putting them on the frame, as the screws won't be accessible otherwise. I remixed it and added a few pieces that I created to fit, including a bowden extruder mount, dual mosfet mount, and spool holder mount.
