EMT8 1" - 1inch version of original 3/4" EMT8
thingiverse
This is a frame for Anet A8 made from plumbing pipes (1" inside diameter or 2.54mm inside, 33.4mm outside). I built the original EMT8 but ended up with wrong size piping instead. Only thing missing from files are mounts for Y and Z axis limit switches. For Z axis, I used this one: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2050229 and for Y, I temporarily hot-glued a limit switch on y rod holder. You will need to cut pipes to exact dimensions to get everything lined up. Dimensions of piping are as follows: x front - 320mm x back - 389mm x top - 320mm y axis - 353mm x2 z axis - 460mm x2 corner brace - 120mm x2 Be aware that dimensions are not exact, cut them 2-3mm shorter to square everything once assembled. You will also need self-tapping screws M3x20 or 25. I don't know exactly how many I used because I just bolted where I could and it holds fine. For Y holders, you'll need M3 size screws and nuts. I couldn't find short screws so I cut them to size, around 12mm. I didn't make power supply and motherboard holders since I'm using them in an electronics box. If you have questions, feel free to comment. If you build it, post a picture as proof! Thanks for your understanding.
