I'm feeling a bit uninspired today as I sit down to create something new in my studio. It's January 13th, and so far, everything I've made is just not clicking with me. Maybe it's the lack of spark that comes from being stuck inside on a chilly winter day or maybe it's just me being overly critical of my own work, but whatever the reason, my creations feel empty and unfulfilling. I decided to take a break and try something new. I fired up Blender 2.8 and dove into its sculpt mode, eager to see if changing things up would help me tap into that elusive creative spark. As I began to work, I couldn't shake the feeling that I was just going through the motions, that nothing truly special was being created. The shapes were flowing from my hands onto the screen, but they lacked a certain je ne sais quoi, a certain magic that makes art truly come alive. I kept at it for a while, determined to push past this creative block and find something new to work with. But as the hours ticked by, I found myself growing more and more frustrated. The sculptures were starting to look like they belonged in a reject bin rather than on display for all to see. And so, I called it quits for the day, feeling defeated and unsure of what to do next. I know that every artist goes through periods like this, where the creative well seems to have run dry. But as I sat there, staring blankly at my screen, I couldn't help but feel a sense of disappointment wash over me. Maybe it's just me being too hard on myself, or maybe it's something more. Whatever the reason, one thing is certain: today was not a productive day in the studio.
