Pompeia Plotina Claudia Phoebe Piso or Pompeia Plotina (died 121/122) was a Roman Empress who married Emperor Trajan. She gained fame for her interest in philosophy, and for being virtuous, dignified, and straightforward. In particular, she was very devoted to the Epicurean philosophical school in Athens, Greece. People generally view her as having made taxes fairer for Romans, improved education, helped the poor, and brought tolerance into Roman society. This object is part of "Scan The World".
