Empire State Recorder (instrument)
thingiverse
Minor tweak in V2, print the empirerecorder.stl with high infill; alternatively, print parts separately. Sharpen lip edge finely. Assemble and remove spire before playing. Adjust foot for pinky placement & tune with top connector. Note that starting with all holes covered will produce flat high notes; use the key chart on en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Recorder#Recorder_fingering to play correctly, aiming for "New York, New York". For the New Museum Challenge, this design challenges traditional recorder aesthetics and is a testament to 3D printing's ability to personalize objects.
