This is a remix of the original [Hobsie's Parametric Leadscrew Upgrade](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1762757) designed to prevent bending of the Z rods. You can preview and download the source at https://a360.co/2HHakJK. ** Changes ** - Improved the idler design so tension is placed onto X rods instead of Z rods, allowing you to slide out X rods without disassembling entire Z axis. - Redesigned idler for outside placement on axis, providing more room for carriage inside. Two versions available for pulleys with 3mm/5mm bore bearings. - Reduced holes in Trapezoidal nuts from four to two since only two are required. - Replaced Z endstop bolt hole with modular hole not needed for probes. ** Parameters ** There is a parameter in the Fusion design changing distance between rod and leadscrew. Default is 17mm, suitable for Prusa i3 (all versions) and P3Steel. If you own P3Steel XL, change this to 18mm. STLs are at 17mm. ** Components ** 4x LM8UU or Igus RJUM-02-08 2x M3 Self Locking Nuts 2x M3 Standard Nuts 2x M3 Bolts (recommend 20mm) ** Questions ** **Q: Can I use anti-backlash nuts with the leadscrews?** A: No. They will not fit and you do not need them anyway. **Q: How do I add a Z endstop bolt?** A: Design and print a mount for the bolt, then screw it into modular hole at bottom of motor side. **Q: How do I tighten the Idler / Tensioner?** A: Turn bolts counter-clockwise. You may need to apply some force initially but once tension is achieved they will stop rotating.
