Sheev Palpatine, known as Darth Sidious in his Sith persona and Senator Palpatine in public life, is a pivotal character in the Star Wars saga. As the primary antagonist of Episodes I through VI, he dominates the series with his cunning and ambition. Initially depicted as an aged and decrepit Emperor in the original trilogy, he is also revealed to be Darth Vader's powerful Sith master. In contrast, the prequel trilogy portrays him as a captivating Senator from Naboo, utilizing his charisma and deception to secure the position of Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic, eventually transforming it into the Empire.
