Empanadilla Maker

Empanadilla Maker

thingiverse

This is a simple Empanadilla Maker, designed to craft turnovers with ease. In Puerto Rico, we love eating empanadas or pastelillos, which are baked or fried pastries filled with an assortment of delights like meat, chicken, pizza sauce and cheese, guava paste, or even shrimp. They're incredibly delicious! This handy device is used to fold the empanadilla and seal the seam, ensuring a clean and safe experience. Since I'm using PLA that may not be entirely safe, I use the same paper that separates the pastry to fold them, preventing food from coming into contact with the plastic. Just in case! That also keeps it spotless. You will need two 5mm screws for the hinge, and you might want to print some plastic screws for this purpose. The hinge doesn't take too much load, so be mindful of that. Print Settings: Printer Brand: Prusa Printer: Prusa Steel Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 50% Notes: I sliced this model in Simplify3D using two processes. The first one prints at 0.2 resolution and 50% infill (I wanted it to be strong) from Z = 0 to 12.26 mm, with no support. The second one has the same settings but uses support, which is essential for adding support at the hinge holes without compromising the letters at the bottom of one of the parts. How I Designed This Designed in Autodesk Inventor I created this model using Autodesk Inventor based on the dimensions of this thing (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:850772). The parametric model is included in the zip file, allowing you to modify and customize it as needed.
