My mother was crafting empanadas from scratch, carefully pinching the edges with a fork. She had experimented with numerous empanada presses on the market but hadn't found one that met her standards. I had been experimenting with a ravioli press in OpenSCAD and thought it would be easy to repurpose some of the code for an empanada press... so here it is. It works seamlessly with standard 6-inch empanada dough, which is widely available at many US grocery stores and Canadian markets. The design is fully customizable in OpenSCAD and can be adapted to suit any dough size or thickness you prefer.
