Emoji Pilot
thingiverse
I received a fun little rubber figurine as a gift at a birthday party, and immediately I started brainstorming ways to print a waist-up model for one of my RC airplanes. Given my flying skills, you'd probably understand the terrified expression on this guy's face - it likely mirrors my reaction after every flight. The head is 44mm wide, which fits perfectly in my 64" MSX 3D plane from Extreme Flight at that scale. You can easily scale it up or down to fit most planes, except for the smallest ones. With a shell thickness of four layers and 15% infill, this came out at 15 grams when printed in PLA. To print successfully, you'll need to use supports for the arms and underneath the head and torso areas - some minor clean-up will be required afterwards.
