Emma Miller - Unionist and Suffragist
sketchfab
Emma Miller boldly spearheaded the Australian Labor Party's inception in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, as a trailblazing trade union organiser, suffragist, and influential leader of pioneering organisations. In 1912, during the tumultuous Brisbane General Strike, Miller fearlessly led a contingent of women to Parliament House. The courageous women were met with aggressive policemen wielding batons, but Miller refused to back down, using her hat-pin to strike the Police Commissioner's horse with precision, sending him crashing to the ground and severely injuring him in the process.
