I don't care for the silicone headstrap that comes with the DW4 as it's annoying to install and remove the light and to adjust the pitch, plus the strap makes the edges bend inward, creating two lines of increased pressure that is unpleasant, especially when worn for a long time. Fenix ALD-05 mount with a fabric strap is very solid and robust and makes pitch adjustments a breeze. It's very bulky though. Hence this. The light is held in pretty well, wearing comfort is pending long term testing but it's been fine so far. The forehead-contacting surface has a curve to it that is wholly eyeballed and might need tuning. It would also probably be wise to put some self adhesive soft foam on there. WIP.My skull shape seems to benefit from having the two bungee cord loops tied together using some hooks salvaged from an old rucksack. Design and geometry of the strap-cords left as an exercise for the reader but the one pictured works pretty well aside from having to manually propagate length adjustment to the second loop.
