Emery cloth holder for ski and snowboards

This is a tool designed specifically for use with special metal sandpaper used to eliminate "grates" / "burrs" on steel edges of skis, just prior to filing. In Denmark this item is known as "smergellærred," and in English it's often called an emery cloth. There are various methods for removing these burrs, which frequently prove too difficult to eliminate with a file alone. From personal experience, using an emery cloth has proven to be the simplest method available. Until now, I had been placing the emery cloth between my file and the edge of the ski in order to maintain the optimal 90-degree angle. Unfortunately, this setup required numerous changes of the cloth. The purpose of this tool is to enable users to apply the full width of the emery cloth strip while maintaining a perfect 90-degree angle against the metal edge. This eliminates the need for continuous changing of the cloth, streamlining the process significantly. After extensive testing with roughly ten sets of skis, I can confidently assert that this device works extremely well, making it an ideal addition to any file or ski tuning kit. As depicted in the accompanying photographs, users are now free to focus on more delicate tasks, such as fine-tuning the edge. I must credit the developers behind the Thread library for their outstanding work. This excellent resource has greatly simplified the design and printing process, making it available to anyone who chooses to utilize this innovative device.
