Emergency Stop Button for Stanley Power Strip
thingiverse
I made this emergency stop button for my MPCNC, used in conjunction with a Stanley Power Strip. The printed body slides over the on/off button of the power strip. A red button is placed inside the printed body. When pressed, it applies pressure to the off side of the on/off button, cutting power to the power strip. You can view a video demonstration of its operation at: https://youtu.be/9Gde6d5Ogbc. I've also included the 123D file for anyone who wants to modify this design for use with another power strip. Printer Settings Printer Brand: Printrbot Printer Model: Simple Black Raft Setting: No Rafts Support Setting: Yes Supports Required Resolution Setting: .2 mm Infill Percentage: 60% Post-Printing Instructions Carefully remove any support material from the base of the printed body to ensure smooth operation. Before use, fit-test all parts to guarantee a proper fit. Additionally, test the button's direction to confirm it turns off the switch correctly. If you're using a different power strip or encounter issues with the design, I've included the D123 file for editing purposes.
