Emergency Stop Button Cover

Emergency Stop Button Cover

A compact cover for an emergency stop button features a shaft diameter of 16mm. This design draws inspiration from Chris Gilletti's original concept, but my printer struggled to produce satisfactory results with that plan. Consequently, I created an alternative design that offers improved functionality. The base component securely attaches to aluminum 4020 profiles using two M4 or M5 bolts and T-nuts. To ensure a sturdy connection, the bottom section incorporates screw threads for four M3x10mm bolts that secure the middle part of the case in place. The top portion of the cover is held firmly in position by friction alone, with a 0.4mm gap allowing for smooth operation. When activated, the emergency button disrupts the power supply wire between the printer's control board and its power source.
