Emergency Replacement Bottle Cap

Emergency Replacement Bottle Cap

thingiverse

I quickly designed and printed a replacement bottle cap after one self-destructed on me. The design requires the use of spiral_extrude(). It's intended for sealing against the tip of an eyedropper-style bottle, though I wouldn't recommend putting its contents near your eyes. There's some uncertainty about whether it actually seals there or just on the shoulder of the bottle. This is another OpenSCAD design. Print Settings: Printer Brand: LulzBot Printer: TAZ 6 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm layers Infill: 40% Notes: I used some Brim since my first print attempt came loose from the bed before finishing. I printed with nGen plastic and sliced using slic3r. Post-Printing: Some blobs in the threads of the cap needed to be trimmed off after printing.
