Emergency Makerbot Insulator Retainer

Emergency Makerbot Insulator Retainer

thingiverse

The Makerbot plastruder's insulator retaining ring takes a lot of abuse; if broken, printing halts. However, with these instructions, create an emergency substitute to keep printing until a proper replacement is available. Note that this isn't a precision part but a temporary fix. The recommended course is to print a new retainer and spares once the printer is repaired. To make the replacement, print the attached image at 1.75"x1.5" onto sticker paper or regular paper and attach it to a 3/16" acrylic sheet. Trim, drill holes as marked, and use until a proper retainer arrives.
