Emergency CorkScrew
thingiverse
We were a trio of friends who ventured to our summerhouse nestled high in the mountains for a fishing trip. Our car was packed with wine bottles, and we felt invincible, thinking nothing could go awry. But we made a critical mistake - we left behind the corkscrew! We risked dehydration within hours, but as Russians, we're accustomed to pushing our limits. Luckily, we stumbled upon Grandpa's old 3D printer, which had been collecting dust for years. A handful of screws lay nearby, and we sprang into action. After just half an hour of modeling and an hour of printing, we had a makeshift corkscrew to save the day! Miraculously, no one succumbed to thirst or starvation - except for one friend who choked on his saliva while gazing longingly at the sealed bottles. Here's how you can create your own emergency corkscrew: 1. Print with any plastic material you have on hand (I prefer PLA due to its durability). 2. Obtain a long wooden screw (I used black construction screws with a 4mm diameter). 3. Insert the screw into the handle and apply glue (cyanoacrylate). 4. Attach a plug and secure it with additional glue. 5. Your DIY corkscrew is now ready for use.
