Emco Maximat V10 Lathe Button
thingiverse
Aerowerk created a new button for the EMCO V10 lathe that was a simple push fit. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4687444 However the original buttons had an offset wider hole to accommodate a small curved steel spring to hold the button firmly in place. I had two original buttons crack on my machine but as I still had the original springs I decided to create my own single buttons that were similar to the originals and able to house the small spring. Note that at the bottom of the centre hole, there is a very small nub to one side to prevent the spring from going all the way to the bottom of the hole. The retaining spring sits against this nub. In order to achieve a good finish I used wet and dry abrasive paper to polish the surfaces (starting with 280 then 400 then 1200). The first 3 photos show the final button. 2nd photo shows the small spring snug in place. The last photo shows the 'raw' button before polishing. It is a tight fit for the spring so depending on your printer resolution you may need to slightly relieve the hole.
