Emco Maximat Super 11 Threading Dial
thingiverse
I needed a custom threading dial for my Emco Maximat Super 11 metal lathe, but they're notoriously hard to find, so I decided to design and print one myself. My machine is the imperial version, which means I only required a single 16-tooth gear, unlike the metric machines that need three gears. After finding some dimensions online, I got a rough idea of what I needed, then created two prototypes before finally getting it working right. Now that I've used this dial for a few threading operations, I'm happy to report that it's performing perfectly, accurately tracking screw position as it should.
