Embraer 145 Plastic Model Replacement Tail
thingiverse
A friend, with kids, lost the tail off his Embraer 145 model given to him by his previous employer, Expressjet, in the "Aqua Fresh" or "branded" livery. This is the model with the press down horizontal stabilizer (as opposed to the slide in from the side typically in mainline livery). This file gave a strong print, printed in flat orientation though a little rough looking with layer lines trying to do things they can't. It would print better aesthetically split and standing up, but I didn't have time during a short visit to manage such experimenting. This pushed onto and held the fuselage posts very well following the vertical stab's contour and with Inland's Rainbow-1 PLA passing through green on my printer, a rather good color match to the livery. I don't have the skills yet to design from scratch, so in a pinch, just adapted this MD80 tail to fit. Purists can move along, it looks far better now with a slightly misshapen tail than a missing tail.
