Device for Assisting Piece Release from Support Application Presented: Assistance with Releasing 3D Printed Pieces from FFF Printer The proposed tool is an alternative solution to using a utility knife or spatula to release pieces, in order to avoid risks of cuts to the user and plate adhesion. This device is a spatula-shaped tool that facilitates piece release from their support. One characteristic of this device is its ability to use commercially available pieces. The tool is characterized by a V-shaped relief in the central zone for the passage and tightening of a screwdriver (ø 3-4) and two flat zones for the passage and tightening of a rivet or equivalent lamella, as well as a non-aggressive support area on the plate. The tightening can be increased by adding a nut and an M3 screw or two screws for plastic, plywood, or wood. The underside of the tool has a non-aggressive support area on the plate. The device operates on the principle of a lever, so that a pressure point at one end generates a force that facilitates piece release from its support. The tools used can be quickly inserted and removed from the device to retrieve their dedicated uses. ! Check that there is no excess of a screw or nut in the zone in contact with the plate. Note: Here the knurl is used to hold the screw, optionally add a drop of glue (cyanoacrylate) on the head of the screw.
