Emblem of the Horde Clock

Emblem of the Horde Clock

I've been eager to take on a 3D printing project for quite some time now, and I finally decided to tackle making a clock. I'm not talking about creating the entire workings from scratch, which would be a massive undertaking and probably beyond my skill level - but it's entirely possible to purchase a quartz mechanism for a clock from stores like Maplins or Amazon, and then use that as the foundation for my design. So, using 3D printing technology, I set out to create my own clock. For my first attempt, I thought it would be fun to revisit an older design and build upon it. The Horde Shield coaster caught my eye, and I decided to use it as a basis for my new project. I took the basic shape of the coaster and added some extra details - in this case, more intricate rivets around the edge, although I have to admit that I'm not sure if Orgrimmar sells 3mm allen-keys. To complete the design, I included spacer bars that attach to the back of the clock for added protection. These bars can be modified with rubber pads to prevent damage to the surrounding wall. Additionally, I designed a surround for the mechanism itself, which is an optional feature but provides extra security if needed. I hope you enjoy my creation! If it receives positive feedback, I'll be happy to produce more clocks - and yes, I do have the Alliance version already printed and waiting in the queue. If you're interested, this fully assembled clock with mechanism and battery can be found in my Etsy store at www.etsy.com/uk/shop/enterprisexddesign.
