Embedded Hinge for 45mm Tee-slot
thingiverse
Tee-slot structures are filled with doors or panels using Hinge for easy mounting. Fixed hinges can be used as stops for filler panel installation, or even for holding paper and fabrics in place. The first version of this design is still being tested, but initial prints have been successful and operate smoothly. A tension mechanism allows the hinge to snap into position, opening up to 90 degrees. To release the hinge, simply press down on the assembly with a hard surface or squeeze it gently with pliers. Next steps include testing the screw-lock feature and determining which screws work best, possibly using stubby ones like those used for mounting Blum-type hinges into particle board or Melamine. Further refinement of this design will continue over the next few days. This hinge is designed to integrate seamlessly with the Vention system and can be customized by visiting a link on 3dorchard.com: https://3dorchard.com/app/single/5dd98a5721acd30b264cd90e/5e56cb7e2638430b7f08769b. As an added bonus, this hinge makes for a handy pocket fidget toy as well. Fingers crossed that the ThingiViewer will be up and running soon.
