EMaglio Tricopter modified 280mm front arm & motor Plate
thingiverse
E Maglio Tricopter 280mm front arms are printed flat to create strength, featuring a separate motor plate. This plate features 16mm bolt spacings that perfectly suit DYS 1806 motors and securely attach with brass inserts and 3mm screws in leg and screw holes. Additional plates can be easily attached using different hole patterns. A modified tail motor tilt plate is also created, lengthening the arm to increase resolution and thickening it for added strength. These designs are optimized and customized in Tinkercad for precision and efficiency. **Printing Instructions** Arms should be printed at a moderate 20% infill to minimize weight while retaining structural integrity. In contrast, motor plates require solid prints (100%) due to their high load-bearing requirements. If needed, they can be made lighter by adjusting the infill settings to a range of 10-40%. Three millimeter brass inserts are used as secure fasteners for various components, easily pressed into place with a soldering iron after lightly enlarging holes if necessary (a 3.9mm drill bit proved ideal). Secure motor plates with M3x8 button head screws and utilize the two provided configurations of rear motor plate - one with no holes, the other offering precise DYS 1806 motor attachment with 16mm spacing for added strength and efficiency. Note that optimal results were achieved by printing all components using Esun ABS on a Da Vinci 1.0A 3D printer at high density settings (100%) to achieve excellent structural integrity.
