Today marks 40 years since Elvis Presley left us. A friend, who shares my passion for his music, recently received a gift from me - a figurine designed by my hands. I wanted to share the design process with you here. I started by finding a silhouette of Elvis's face and converting it into a scaled STL file. To give this model some stability, I created a base that complements its design. The base is hollow, which allowed me to fill it with plaster for added weight. Once everything was complete, I painted the entire figurine. The silhouette I used as inspiration can be found on GrabCAD's library - specifically in the Elvis Presley 1 model.
