ELU / Dewalt / Black&Decker Spare part 760257
thingiverse
I purchased two miter saws from ELU, Type PS174. Both had been heavily used by professional contractors on-site, which explains why their lever for the miter angle notch was broken in both cases. A spare part is still available, but I own a 3D printer, so waiting for shipment isn't necessary. The genuine spare part number is 760257-00 and it's also compatible with some successor saw models from Dewalt, including the DW700 and possibly others. If you don't have any remaining parts from the original: - A metal bushing needs to be pressed into the pivot hole. I recommend using a piece of brass tube with an outer diameter of 10mm and an inner diameter of 6mm. - The screw that dips into the slots of the saw's base (part no. 760247) is still available for purchase, but it can also be easily made from an M6 Allen head bolt: simply turn the bolt head into a conical shape. You can use a lathe or if you don't have one, just a drilling machine and a file. - The pivot bolt is just an M6 bolt; use two bigger washers on each side of the lever. Turn it into the thread of the saw until the lever is still moving and then fix that bolt with an M5 bolt through the perpendicular threaded hole from the bottom. - A spring with an 8mm outer diameter is required, a stronger type will do.
