Elna Presser Bar Lifter

Elna Presser Bar Lifter #411461-10 I strongly advise using supports at 100% infill when printing this design, as the angle step in the middle of the presser bar poses a significant weakness. Although the part bears a striking resemblance to its original Elna counterpart, the arm does not taper down to the same extent at the tip, where users operate it with their fingers. This deliberate design choice was made to avoid compromising structural integrity by making the component too fragile. Initially, I printed this design in PLA, and it performed flawlessly until a sweltering day without air conditioning caused the sewing machine's light to overheat the part, rendering it pliable. Consequently, I recommend printing with a more heat-resistant material, such as PETG or ABS. Currently, I am experimenting with PETG, which is conveniently available in my workshop.
