So this is a big one! A scale model of the Elmhurst Presbyterian Church in Illinois is finally complete. The model was crafted to exact specifications from official blueprints provided by the church itself. Huge thanks go out to Karen and Marj for their invaluable assistance and for pointing me towards the church's website, which can be found here: http://elmhurstchurch.org. This scale model boasts an impressive 1/254 scale, where every millimeter translates to a whopping ten inches in real life - it will fit comfortably on a standard 300x300 print bed without any issues. The files themselves are quite unique. The "EPC S" file contains the complete church model, ideal for printing solid if you desire. On the other hand, the "EPC M" files feature the church sliced in half height-wise to minimize material usage and separate the delicate chimney and spire sections - no one wants a print to fail due to the printer knocking over those tall and slender parts. For those curious about the naming convention used here, there's an additional set of files available that increases the scale to 1/127. However, since this was a personal project for my mother, I've decided to keep those exclusive for myself.
