Human: An Ellipsoidal planter I designed as a new home for my cacti. Print Settings Printer Brand: Type A Machines Printer: 2014 Series 1 Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Infill: 100% Notes: I scaled the model to a height of 50 mm in my slicer and used my 2012-2013 plywood Series 1 to print the planter. Recommend printing upside down with rafts. I printed this without a raft, and the contact with the build surface was small enough that the part separated partly and lifted up, warping the pot near the lip. I also recommend using support material. I started the support at 60 deg. to prevent the overhang from collapsing in. Post-Printing Nail Polish I printed the pot in PLA, a biodegradable polymer, so I used some nail polish to give the inside a protective coating, hence the Revlon 570 Vintage color on the interior.
