A fascinating cam/follower mechanism is shown in a gif found at http://www.eng-tips.com/viewthread.cfm?qid=420591. It was modeled using Solidworks 2016 and rendered with Simlab Composer 7 Mechanical Edition. The frames were edited with Virtualdub, saved as AVI/X264 and BMP format. The video was remuxed to MP4 with MyMP4BoxGui, while gifs were made using PhotoScape. IrfanView was used to edit the renders. The 3D-PDF and SIMLAB files are animated, and models are available in multiple formats including Solidworks 2016 and Simlab Composer 7.
