Exclusively on Cults! I love getting my hands on this Ellipsoid. Students are so familiar with spheres, but it is often a new experience to handle a shape like this. The radius in each of x, y, and z axes is different. I designed a base to hold it because I knew it would otherwise just roll around on the shelf and I wanted it to display at the same height as the other surfaces. Created with Mathematica and printed on my MakerGear M3-ID. Note: Some files are rather large since I was working to get a very high resolution. I created these in Summer 2018. They were all designed and printed to stand at the same height, to work well for display by me during discussion in front of a classroom, and to be large enough for students to get their hands on them to really feel the shapes and the curves.
