I made an adjustable ellisograph for my artist brother, enabling him to create ellipses of varying sizes and ratios. By adjusting the dovetail pieces, users can alter the major and minor axes of the ellipse as needed, though the available range is limited due to the necessity of lengthy dovetail pieces that avoid twisting. As seen in the accompanying pictures, this tool's capabilities are showcased through examples of the largest and thinnest ellipses achievable with its longest possible strokes. You will require a 10-32 tap, 4 nylon or metal 10-32 screws, and 3 corresponding nuts for assembly. The provided specifications can also be adapted using a 5mm tap instead, taking note that holes are sized to fit a 10-24 screw or a 5mm diameter tool.
