Ellie's switchblade

I've been itching to tackle a personal project that I've wanted to take on for ages. With The Last of Us part 2 finally out, I just couldn't resist recreating an infamous prop from the franchise. Knowing this switchblade had been Ellie's trusty sidekick for quite some time, I aimed to give it a well-worn look with lots of character. To achieve that, I added discoloration to both the blade and the handle, making it look like it had seen its fair share of battles. The handle is crafted from wood with an elegant ivory inlay, adding a touch of sophistication to this rugged prop. Using Maya, I modeled the entire piece, while zBrush came in handy for adding those telltale dents on the blade. Check it out!
