The Ellen Fairclough Building is a prominent 20-story high-rise office building measuring 94 meters tall and ranks as the 4th tallest in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, erected in 1981. Situated at the intersection of King Street East and MacNab Street South, this architectural masterpiece was initially launched as the Convention Centre upon its grand opening in 1981. Exactly one year later, it was rebranded Ellen Fairclough Building, an honour bestowed on a local legend, the first-ever female Canadian Cabinet member. Beneath this government office tower lies The Hamilton Convention Centre, linked by an overpass that joins the downtown Art Gallery and the expansive auditorium within the vicinity of King Street to the Lloyd D. Jackson Square mall. Inside, the premises play host to a courthouse and a citizenship & immigration office.
