Elk's ScoopLamp

Elk's ScoopLamp

thingiverse

Introducing the ScoopLamp, my largest printed project yet! Made entirely from 3D-printed parts, it assembles seamlessly (no tools required) and is held together with just a steel wire or cable tie. For optimal results, print with a 0.5mm nozzle using PLA silver for the segments and white ABS for the rings; expect a printing time of approximately seven hours per element. To start, ensure you have at least 500g of PLA on hand and that your printer can accommodate parts up to 180 x 115 x 90mm in size. Print each component - including nine unique pieces from the "003 Element9.stl" file - carefully, taking care to avoid overlapping. Clean any ooze or dirt from the parts using a sharp blade. Assemble your ScoopLamp by connecting the rings and elements together, then mount it on a fluorescent or LED energy-saving lamp that doesn't produce excessive heat. Secure the upper ring around the bulb holder with either a cable tie or piece of wire for a perfect finish!
