From Randy - W4LKS July 2020 Elk Antenna Replacement Mounting Bracket for Photo Tripod This replacement mounting bracket is designed specifically for the Elk 2M/440L5 ham radio directional antenna. It enables attachment to a Velbon photo tripod by utilizing its wedge mount. The bracket is compatible with Velbon model Victory tripods, including the 150, 250, 450, and 480 models. To use this mounting bracket, you must first remove the handheld bracket that comes standard with the antenna. This new bracket uses the same mounting holes as the original one. The base dimensions of the wedge mounting plate are 52mm x 44mm x 8.5mm deep. Check out another design I created that allows you to keep the Elk antenna's handheld mounting apparatus and adapt it to a Velbon tripod.
