Units of measurement in Tudor times were surprisingly consistent with contemporary norms, allowing this antique measuring vessel to function just like modern cups do today. Crafted from bronze in 1601, it served a wide range of purposes, including measuring liquids, powders and even grains. This image is the result of collaborative efforts between our volunteers.
