In search of a suitable transmission model for my motorbike engine project, I encountered resistance from Elite, compelling me to redraw the design myself - a more time-consuming process than anticipated. By referencing install drawings on their website, I believe key dimensions are accurate while other aspects were scaled based on available drawings (a practice that typically should be avoided). Please exercise caution when using this model! The MX250 IL transmission features a plated LSD with mechanical reverse operation and interchangeable drop gears within one housing. Designed to eliminate the need for separate reverse solutions in bike engine applications, this gearbox allows quick ratio changes via drop gears. It meets regulatory requirements for built-in reverse functionality and is suitable for off-road buggies, road trikes, bike engine kit cars, and race cars. Constructed with ultra-durable materials boasting a core strength approximately 30% greater than most manufactured gears, this transmission can handle rough terrain. REM super finishing of its gears enhances life span and reduces friction. The specs include a maximum torque capacity of 475Nm (350 ft-lbs), numerous final drive and drop gear ratio options, various output flange choices such as tripod, small CV (86mm), medium CV (100mm), large CV (108mm), or bespoke alternatives.
