Elfa Utility Board Tape Dispenser

I wanted a tape reel for some various adhesive fastening products to hang from the Elfa utility board I have hanging above my work bench. My goal in the design was to create something as sturdy as possible, using the minimum amount of filament. The design itself consists of: The Frame: this has the interface for hanging on the Elfa board as well as the interface for the spool holder and cutting edge. Spool Holder: this holds the actual tape reels (or the adapter. It screws together because I wanted this to add some structure to the frame itself. Turns out the frame was plenty strong without this, but the dove tails do help to keep this where it belongs when dispensing tape. Adapter: because the specific spools of tape I used had large carriers, I created this adapter to keep them centered on the spool holder. The three arms are intentionally thin so that they have a springiness that can adapt to a range of spool carrier dimensions (within reason). You could probably slice these down to size to allow each individual roll of tape spin on it's own. I literally just though of this while I was typing.Unfortunately, the teeth I added to cut the tape aren't really sharp enough for the kapton tape I'm dispensing and I'm debating whether to try to make them sharper or buy something made out of metal that could be inserted in that space. UPDATE: I designed a tape body that could accept a 50mm wide, metal, serrated insert for cutting tougher tapes. It does require you to pilfer the blade from a cheap packing tape reel, but it cuts the Kapton tape pretty well and I'm happy with that. You can find that model here. Print instructionsI printed everything in PETG and designed things, to the best of my ability, to require a minimum of supports. However, some areas will likely need support or brims to print their best. Specifically, I setup the frame to be printed upside down, and had Prusa Slicer add supports from the build plate only. I put a brim around the optional spool adapter to make sure it didn't detach from the build plate. You'll find the parameters I used in the 3MF files.
