Elevation Dock iPhone 30-Pin Connector Adapter Cable Clamp
thingiverse
The Elevation Dock was my top pick on Kickstarter, but I needed to make two significant adjustments for it to suit my needs. Firstly, I used the Elevation Dock Wedge available on Thingiverse to tilt the dock back by 10-15 degrees, allowing me to see my iPhone's screen while it rested next to my monitor. Secondly, due to a faulty circuit board causing disconnection issues when charging, I replaced the internal components with a clamp plate that holds any standard 30-pin iPhone cable directly into the Elevation Dock base. To install this mod, print out the Thing on your 3D printer, remove the original guts from the dock, feed a standard 30-pin cable through the bottom and line up the clamp plate with the original screw holes. Secure it using one of the longer hex head screws, then replace the aluminum base plate. Happy charging!
