At birth, a newborn elephant calf tips the scales at 265 pounds, after a gestation period of 22 long months - a record that stands unmatched among all land animals. The Elephant's World exhibit, situated on the Rotunda Balcony, second floor, offers an immersive experience with its interactive Elephant Discovery Stations. These engaging stations provide valuable insights into the world of elephants and their habitats, comprising two distinct sections: Fossil Elephants and Elephants in Action. This remarkable object is part of "Scan The World," a groundbreaking initiative pioneered by MyMiniFactory. Through Scan The World, we are creating a vast digital archive of fully 3D printable sculptures, artworks, and landmarks from around the globe, accessible to everyone for free. Scan The World is an open-source community effort, and if you have intriguing items nearby that you'd like to contribute, simply email stw@myminifactory.com to learn how you can be a part of this exciting project.
